The feeling I got last night at my very first Cab show was indescribable. I was overwhelmed with joy and love and everything was just perfect.
I’ll start from the minute I woke up yesterday….
It was about 7 am and I jumped out of bed, took a shower, and got ready for my adventure. I was so excited I couldn’t hold it in. I had to run into work with my mom so she could make sure everything would run smoothly without her there and I had a conversation with her co-worker about why I wasn’t in school and what I was going to do. After I told her about the concert and all that wonderful stuff, she told me she was excited for me and hoped that I would have the best night ever. So my friend Olivia came over around 10 and then we set off to Best Buy to buy a new battery charger for my camera. Then we drove an hour to Mechanicsburg to pick up my best friend Madison. After that we went into Harrisburg to shop for a little. At about 1:30 we left Harrisburg for the 2 hour drive to Allentown. We got there around 3:30 and went to Momma Croc’s pizza. When we walked in, Days Difference was just you know chillin’ and eating pizza. We got our food and I’m in mid-chew of a french fry and guess who walks in… Brian Dales. I dropped my french fry and look stunned. My mom said “What the hell is wrong with you?” and I replied with ” Mom, that is Brian Dales and I love him.” So when Brian was close to our table, I asked for a picture and he was like “yeah sure.” It was so surreal. After that, we went in the bathroom ( a very sketchy one at that) and I just couldn’t contain my excitement at all and was jumping up and down. Then we went outside and waited in line for like an hour and a half. While we were out there, Dave and Joey walked by and I yelled “Hey Dave!” and he turned around and said “hi!” but I didn’t realize that Joey was with him at first, but then I yelled “sorry Joey, I love you!” but I don’t think he heard me. Then finally we got inside and we were close-ish to the front. After Paradise Fears (whom I enjoyed a lot.) were done a bunch of people left the front area and I moved up a lot until some asshole with his girlfriend was trying to pick fights with people to get to the front. At one point a really large man was leaving, which gave me space to move up in front of said douchebag…Sadly, I ended up behind a girl that’s 6 ft tall and I’m only 5’4” so that kinda sucked, but she left halfway through The Summer Set, so I moved up even more. After The Summer Set, more people left so I kept right on moving up. By the middle of The Cab’s set, I ended up right in the front. It was so amazingly perfect. The only bad thing was I had lost my friends and was by myself. During Living Louder, the girl in front of me started pushing me back and I fell off this ledge thing that you had to step up on, but luckily the girl behind me kept me from falling. Oh I forgot to mention how my camera battery still wouldn’t charge, so I had to use my phone to take pictures. After the show my mom was trying to find us and she told me to go outside, but instead I went to the merch table and bought stuff. So I finally found my mom and my friends outside about 10 minutes later. Then I saw Singer and was like “Mom, I need to go give him my letters.” So I went to talk to him and he asked, “How was your day today?” and I said “Perfect since I finally got to meet you.” and he wrapped me in this huge bear hug and said “thank you so much”. Then I asked him to do me a favor and give the rest of the boys my letters to them and he signed the back of my shirt, hugged me one more time, then I left. Honestly, I have NEVER met a sweeter person than Alex DeLeon, he called me sweetheart and thanked me for coming to the show. All of this makes me love him 10 billion times more than I already did. Last Night was just perfect. Oh and did I mention that when they announced that they were going to play “Bad” that when it got quiet, I yelled “I’ll be your bad girl!” ? Everything about yesterday was perfect and I absolutely cannot wait to see these boys again. <3333
